The bear and two friends



Once upon a time, two friends were walking through a forest. Their names were Raju and Mohan. They were talking and laughing as they walked. They promised each other, “We will always help each other in danger.”

As they went deeper into the forest, they suddenly saw a big bear coming toward them!

Raju quickly climbed a nearby tree. He did not wait for Mohan. He forgot his promise.

Mohan did not know how to climb trees. He was very scared. But he remembered that bears do not hurt dead people.

So, Mohan lay down on the ground. He held his breath and stayed very still. He pretended to be dead.

The bear came near Mohan. It sniffed his ears and face. Mohan did not move at all. The bear thought he was dead and walked away slowly into the trees.

After the bear left, Raju came down from the tree. He laughed and asked, “What did the bear whisper in your ear?”

Mohan looked at Raju and said, “The bear told me not to trust a friend who leaves you in danger.”

Raju felt ashamed. He had run away and left his friend alone when he needed help the most.

Moral of the Story:

This story teaches us about real friendship. Raju was not a true friend because he ran away. Mohan was left alone but still stayed calm and smart. We must always stand by our friends, especially when they need us the most.
