“According to the ADB, Pakistan lags behind other countries in the promotion of 4G and the rollout of 5G spectrum. It highlighted that there is an urgent need to expand the fiber optic infrastructure, while affording internet-enabled devices remains a major challenge for women and low-income groups.”

ایشیائی ترقیاتی بینک (ADB) کی ایک رپورٹ میں انکشاف کیا گیا ہے کہ پاکستان خطے میں ٹیلی کام سیکٹر پر سب سے زیادہ ٹیکس عائد کرنے والا ملک ہے۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق، پاکستان فور جی کی ترقی اور فائیو جی اسپیکٹرم کے اجراء میں دیگر ممالک سے پیچھے ہے۔ رپورٹ میں اس بات پر زور دیا گیا ہے کہ فائبر آپٹک انفراسٹرکچر کو فوری وسعت دینے کی ضرورت ہے، جبکہ خواتین اور کم آمدنی والے طبقے کے لیے انٹرنیٹ ڈیوائسز خریدنا اب بھی ایک بڑا چیلنج ہے۔
