University of Metaphysical Sciences Lawsuit Update

The University of Metaphysical Sciences, or UMS, is a school that teaches special subjects like spirituality, meditation, energy healing, and metaphysics. These are not regular school subjects like math or science. Instead, they help people learn about the mind, soul, and energy of the universe.

UMS is an online school, which means people take classes on their computers. The school gives certificates and degrees to students who finish their lessons.

Many people all over the world enjoy learning with UMS. But recently, UMS became part of a big legal problem, also called a lawsuit.

    What Is a Lawsuit?

A lawsuit is when one person or company takes another to court. They do this when they think the other person has done something wrong or unfair. Then a judge decides who is right and what should happen next.

In this case, the lawsuit is between:

    • UMS (University of Metaphysical Sciences), and
    • IMM (International Metaphysical Ministry), another group that also teaches spiritual subjects.

    Why Did IMM Sue UMS?

The International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) said that UMS did a few things wrong. Let’s look at those reasons one by one in very simple language.

    1. Using the Same or Similar Names

IMM says UMS used words, names, or pictures that look too much like IMM’s. This can confuse people. It’s like if two schools had the same logo or name. You might not know which one is real or which one you are signing up for.

IMM says UMS made their website and course names look like IMM’s.

    2. Breaking a Past Agreement

UMS and IMM had a past fight and made peace in 2019. They signed a paper saying what they could and couldn’t do. IMM now says UMS broke that peace deal.

For example, IMM says UMS agreed not to use certain words or designs, but UMS still used them later.

    3. Misleading Students

IMM says UMS told students things that are not true. For example:

    • Saying their degrees are official when maybe they are not approved by big education systems.
    • Making students believe their certificates are valid everywhere.

IMM believes these things might trick students.

    4. Making Students Confused

Because UMS and IMM have similar subjects and names, IMM says students may get mixed up. IMM wants to make sure people know the difference between the two schools.

What Does UMS Say About This?

UMS disagrees with IMM and says:

    • They did not copy IMM’s names or designs.
    • They followed the peace agreement from 2019.
    • Their advertising is honest and clear.
    • They are not trying to confuse anyone.

UMS believes IMM is using this lawsuit to try to hurt their school and make students stay away.

UMS also says this is not the first time IMM has sued them. UMS says they have won in the past and never lost a case against IMM.

    When Did All This Happen?

Let’s look at the timeline to see when everything happened:

    • 2017 – IMM first started a lawsuit against UMS.
    • 2019 – They made peace and signed an agreement to stop fighting.
    • 2021 – IMM filed a new lawsuit, saying UMS broke the old agreement.
    • 2024 – Some parts of IMM’s case were thrown out by the court.
    • June 2025 – The next trial is expected to happen.

    What Is Happening Now?

    As of now:

    • The case is still going on in court.
    • Some parts of IMM’s case have been removed because the judge did not agree with them.
    • A final court decision is expected in June 2025.
    • UMS is still open and offering courses to students.

    How Does This Affect Students?

If you are a student at UMS or want to join, you may be wondering: should I worry?

The simple answer is: Not right now.

    Here’s why:

    • UMS is still teaching. Their classes are available online.
    • Your certificate or degree is still valid. UMS continues to send out documents to students who finish their lessons.
    • You can ask questions. If you are unsure about anything, it’s okay to talk to UMS for clear answers.

The lawsuit is between UMS and IMM. Students are not in trouble and can keep learning as usual.

    What Is Metaphysical Science?

Since the word “metaphysical” may be new to some kids, let’s explain it in easy words.

Metaphysical science is the study of things we can’t always see or touch, like:

    • Thoughts
    • Feelings
    • Energy
    • The soul
    • The meaning of life

People who study metaphysical science want to understand how the mind and spirit work. They learn about:

    • Meditation
    • Positive thinking
    • Spiritual healing
    • Energy fields
    • The power of belief

It’s different from regular science, which looks at things like atoms, planets, and animals.

How Do People Feel About the Lawsuit?

The UMS community — including students and teachers — have different feelings:

    • Some people are worried, because legal battles can cause stress.
    • Many others are supportive of UMS and believe they are doing the right thing.
    • People have even donated money to help UMS with legal costs.
    • Some have shared their good experiences with UMS online.

UMS has said thank you to all the students and friends who are helping and standing by them.

What Can We Learn From This?

Even though this is a legal case, we can still learn some important lessons:

    1. Be clear and honest – Whether it’s business or school, always be truthful.
    2. Respect agreements – If you make a deal with someone, you should follow it.
    3. Don’t copy others – Always try to make your own original work and ideas.
    4. Stand up for yourself – If someone says something wrong about you, it’s okay to speak up.
    5. Stay calm during problems – UMS continues to work and teach students even while going through the lawsuit.

The University of Metaphysical Sciences is going through a serious legal matter. The court will decide who is right in the next few months. Until then, UMS says they are doing their best to keep everything running smoothly. If you are a student, you can continue your studies with UMS. If you are thinking about joining, it’s a good idea to ask questions and learn as much as you can before signing up. The most important thing to remember is: learning should always be honest, clear, and helpful. Let’s hope the court finds a fair answer soon. And may everyone involved keep working toward peace and understanding.

  • The bear and two friends

    The bear and two friends

Once upon a time, two friends were walking through a forest. Their names were Raju and Mohan. They were talking and laughing as they walked. They promised each other, “We will always help each other in danger.”

As they went deeper into the forest, they suddenly saw a big bear coming toward them!

Raju quickly climbed a nearby tree. He did not wait for Mohan. He forgot his promise.

Mohan did not know how to climb trees. He was very scared. But he remembered that bears do not hurt dead people.

So, Mohan lay down on the ground. He held his breath and stayed very still. He pretended to be dead.

The bear came near Mohan. It sniffed his ears and face. Mohan did not move at all. The bear thought he was dead and walked away slowly into the trees.

After the bear left, Raju came down from the tree. He laughed and asked, “What did the bear whisper in your ear?”

Mohan looked at Raju and said, “The bear told me not to trust a friend who leaves you in danger.”

Raju felt ashamed. He had run away and left his friend alone when he needed help the most.

    Moral of the Story:

    • A friend in need is a friend indeed.

    • True friends never leave each other in danger.

    • In times of trouble, real friendship is tested.

    • Don’t break promises to your friends.

    • Be brave and loyal like a true friend.

This story teaches us about real friendship. Raju was not a true friend because he ran away. Mohan was left alone but still stayed calm and smart. We must always stand by our friends, especially when they need us the most.

So remember: If you want good friends, be a good friend first! Always help, support, and stay loyal. That is what true friendship means.

  • The Fox and the Grapes

    The Fox and the Grapes

One hot afternoon, a hungry fox was walking through the forest. He had not eaten anything all day. He was tired, thirsty, and looking for food.

As he walked, he saw a grapevine hanging over a tall tree branch. On the vine were bunches of juicy, purple grapes. They looked very tasty.

“Wow! Those grapes look so sweet and ripe,” said the fox. “They will be perfect to eat.”

The fox jumped to reach the grapes, but they were too high.

He stepped back and ran fast to jump higher. Still, he could not reach them.

He tried again and again. He jumped, he climbed, he stretched. But the grapes were still out of reach.

Finally, the fox sat down under the tree. He was tired and angry. After thinking for a while, he stood up and said loudly, “Those grapes are probably sour. I don’t want them anyway!”

The Fox And The Grapes Story For Children With Moral

He turned around and walked away.

But deep inside, the fox was sad. He really wanted those grapes, but he didn’t want to admit that he couldn’t get them. So, he pretended not to care.

The Fox and The Grapes - Tales with GiGi

    Moral of the Story:

    • It is easy to say something is bad when you can’t have it.

    • Don’t hate what you can’t get—work harder next time.

    • Accept your failure and try to do better instead of making excuses.

    • Be honest with yourself.

    • Don’t pretend something isn’t good just because you failed to get it.

This story teaches us not to make excuses when we fail. The fox could not get the grapes, so he said they were sour. But the truth is, he wanted them badly. Sometimes we do the same. Instead of saying “I can’t,” we say “It’s not worth it.” But it’s better to accept our mistakes and try again next time.

So, always try your best, and if you fail, don’t make excuses. Learn from your mistake and try again. That is how we grow strong and wise!

    The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Once upon a time, there was a young boy who lived in a small village. Every day, he took his sheep to a grassy hill nearby. His job was to watch the sheep and keep them safe.

But the boy got bored. There was no one to play with, and watching sheep was not fun.

“You tricked us!” they said angrily. “Don’t lie like that!”

The next day, the boy did it again. He shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!”

Again, the villagers came running. But there was no wolf. The boy laughed and laughed.

“You must not lie,” the villagers warned. “Next time, we may not believe you.”

On the third day, a real wolf came out of the forest. It started chasing the sheep!

The boy was very scared. He shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! Please help! A real wolf is here!”

    The Boy Who Cried Wolf

But the villagers thought he was lying again. No one came to help.

The wolf ran after the sheep and scattered them all. The boy was very sad.

That evening, he went to the village and said, “I am sorry. I lied before. But today, the wolf was real.”

The villagers said, “We’re sorry for your sheep, but now you know why it is wrong to lie.”

    Moral of the Story:

    • Always tell the truth.

    • If you lie, people won’t believe you even when you tell the truth.

    • Lying can lead to real problems.

    • Trust is easy to lose and hard to get back.

    • Being honest makes you a better person.

One day, a slow and steady tortoise heard the hare. He smiled and said, “I may be slow, but I can race you.”

The hare laughed loudly. “You? Race me? That’s funny! But sure, let’s race!”

The next morning, all the animals gathered to watch the race. The fox was the judge. “On your marks, get set, go!” said the fox.

The hare ran very fast and soon left the tortoise far behind. After running for a while, the hare looked back and saw the tortoise was nowhere close.

“This tortoise is so slow. I’ll take a nap under this tree. He will never catch up,” thought the hare.

The hare slept for a long time. Meanwhile, the tortoise kept walking—slowly, step by step—but he didn’t stop.
