They Made Us Proud, But Got Nothing in Return
Pakistan’s national hockey team worked very hard and reached the final match of an international tournament in Malaysia. The whole country felt proud.
But sadly, these national heroes are still waiting to get their match money and daily allowances, even after more than two weeks have passed.
In the final, New Zealand won the cup, but our players are still waiting for financial support. They were only promised Rs. 30,000 per match, which is a very small amount for the hard work and time they gave for Pakistan.
The situation is worse because they also did not get money for their three training camps. These camps took many days of practice, but the players were not paid anything.
These hockey players do not have contracts or any monthly salary. That’s unfair. They play for Pakistan with full heart and passion but don’t get the respect or money they deserve.
Many experts say this is a big injustice. If we want to bring back the golden days of hockey in Pakistan, we must support these players, pay them on time, and give them the honor they have earned.

پاکستان کی قومی ہاکی ٹیم نے ملائیشیا میں ہونے والے ٹورنامنٹ کے فائنل تک رسائی حاصل کی، جس پر پوری قوم کو فخر ہوا۔
لیکن افسوس کی بات ہے کہ یہ قومی ہیروز اب تک اپنی میچ فیس اور روزانہ کا الاؤنس نہیں لے سکے، حالانکہ فائنل کو گزرے ہوئے دو ہفتے سے زیادہ ہو چکے ہیں۔
فائنل میں نیوزی لینڈ نے پاکستان کو شکست دی، لیکن ہمارے کھلاڑی اب بھی اپنے پیسوں کے انتظار میں ہیں۔ ان کو صرف 30 ہزار روپے فی میچ کا وعدہ کیا گیا تھا، جو ان کی محنت کے حساب سے بہت کم ہے۔
بات یہیں ختم نہیں ہوتی! ان کھلاڑیوں کو تین ٹریننگ کیمپوں کے پیسے بھی ابھی تک نہیں ملے۔ نہ ہی انہیں کوئی سینٹرل کنٹریکٹ یا ماہانہ تنخواہ دی جاتی ہے۔
یہ سب کچھ ان کھلاڑیوں کے ساتھ صاف ناانصافی ہے۔ یہ نوجوان ملک کے لیے قربانیاں دے رہے ہیں، لیکن ان کا کوئی پرسان حال نہیں۔
ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ پاکستان ہاکی دوبارہ اوپر جائے، تو ہمیں اپنے کھلاڑیوں کی محنت کی قدر کرنی ہو گی، اور ان کے مالی مسائل کا فوری حل نکالنا ہوگا۔
